Bun"ting (&unr_;), n. [Scot. buntlin, corn-buntlin, OE. bunting, buntyle; of unknown origin.] (Zo&ö;l.) A bird of the genus Emberiza, or of an allied genus, related to the finches and sparrows (family Fringillidæ).
